81st West African Div.
Am quite pleased with these recent addition's to my collection. Had been looking for just one decent example but with some persistence was able to locate a pair. The previous owner needed a bit of persuasion to part with them but in the end it did happen.
As can be seen in the photo the body of the spider "Ananse" is nicely padded. Needless to say I am chuffed, believe I have used that word in the proper context. thanks Jack

One might assume that there is a good variety in manufacturing differences in these badges. Being most if not all I have seen are hand made. Jack

Thanks for all the positive comments. In looking a bit closer it appears the design was sketched or printed first and the embroidery follows that pattern. It is most visible under the arms of the spider.
Or this was originally a printed variety of the sign. Jack

Black dots around the edge are usually a sign of a printed sign although the cloth use is not the usual thin material found.
