Default Grenade shaped tartan badge

Picked this up among some badges collected by a REME man who served post war in Korea etc.

From some threads I found it appears to be RSF, though not an exact match.

Any thoughts or confirmation?

Thanks

Default RSF Tartan

Badges on Battledress (Lt Col Howard Cole), Third Edition Aug 53 p 150:
A piece of Hunting Erskine tartan.... worn on each sleeve of BD by the RSF. Until 1951 the RSF wore the 42nd tartan... and in order not to waste material each was of a different pattern, as the grenades were cut out of lengths of this tartan. The RSF had, after the 1939-45 War, adopted the Hunting Erskine tartan, the family tartan of the Earl of Mar and Kellie, descendant of the first Colonel of the Regiment, the Earl of Mar. Mike
