A closer look at the late 1930s "coloured" photo.... I have stripped away the colour on both cap and arm badge and auto contrasted them.

Cap badge:- The scrolls have been pushed upwards and the feathers cap curved. The contrast levels do not show a different colour to the coronet.

Arm badge:- This looks like a used cap badge that had the srcolls broken off.... and again the contrast shows no difference in the coronet colour.

* I have added in the colour that should be there.... the Corporals stripes are actually taken off some blues. They are silver lace on scarlet.... and the backing cloth to the arm badge is scarlet also. White metal Cap & collars with brass buttons & titles.
