Default 4th Australian Light Horse

A 4 ALH colour patch circa 1934 with the ANZAC brass A. This came to me decades ago from that well known Australian expert, the late Dave Allen:

I think Dave Allen died about 15 years ago. I was sensible enough to keep every letter he ever wrote me plus attachments over a 20 year period. They make a remarkable work of reference and he had the most amazingly attractive handwriting. He could have been a calligrapher rather than a Gren Gds and RAR WO! His major contribution in the field of 2 AIF colour patches was his hand coloured limited edition of an early photocopy of the illustrated record of 2 AIF patches prepared by DoD (if that's what is was called then) in 1946.
