Default RE EViiiR OSD Revisited

Hello Gents,

Reading some of the archived threads I note that there have been concerns raised over the issue of die struck OSD badges.

I have the RE OSD shown below currently offered for sale. I have compared it to the "Wide voiding badges" mentioned in this thread:

http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...ad.php?t=15916

I'm certain from also having handled these known fakes that my badge is not from the same source.

I would welcome opinions on my badge as I would not wish to sell it as a good badge whilst there are doubts about it.

All opinions welcome.

Ry

Default EDward VIII ENGINEERS OSD

Dear charlie 585 I have just posted some pictures of my ed v111 osd Engineers badge that i have had since the early 60`s in the thread you quoted http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...ad.php?t=15916
.It has a very narrow gap between the wreath and scroll and the usual plain reverse. As for die struck osd badges being ok I have just been given a veterans ASC osd badges with 100% provenance and they are all die struck. However with the Ed v111 badges i would always err on the side of caution and go for the more usual manufacture. All the best Mac
