Staffordshire Sqn cap badge as part of the Queen's Own Mercian yeomanry
http://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/30063833
Could any one date this period of use? I presume it is post 1971 as that was when the QOMY was formed. Although there is no picture the description is of the a/a cap badge of the design formerly worn by the officers of the Staffs Yeomanry. |

Most interesting article in MHS Bulletin of May 1976 on badges etc of the the Queens Own Mercian Yeomanry. The article says the QOMC Yeomanry cap badges presented on 11th May 1975.
P.B.

Thank you. So probably worn 1971-75 when the individual Sqn badges were replaced by the Regtl one on the parade referred to.

This is from Edwards 6th Edition dated 1974 which says " a common cap badge is under consideration: meanwhile squadrons will continue to wear their former badges".
