Question Coldstream Guards badges

I have two Coldstream Guards badges which are different to the normal cap badge, any information on them would be appreciated.

The first is quite worn in the centre due to polishing.

Thanks for looking.

Rob

I think that the first one is Canadian, Governer Generals Foot Guards?
Could the second one be a polished OSD cap or collar?

Default Governor Generals Foot Guards

Leigh, this is very similar to the Governor Generals Foot Guards illustrated in "Canada's Army in World War II" by F.R. Tripp, maybe an earlier version.

The second badge is the same size as a normal Coldstreams cap badge.

Im inclined to go for a polished up OSD cap/collar still, best I can come up with, pending input from someone who knows the subject.
Again, the first badge - a polished/worn GGFG OSD? Having said that, it looks too well worn to be OSD with a bit of polish.

Rob, whats the back like on the 1st one please. I have one also and have seen a couple of those on Duty/Bed plates. The other one is just a different pattern OR's cap star.

Default Coldstream Guards

Andy, the first Coldstream Guards had originally a type of blade, one had broken off already and the second went the same way, so I soldered two loops E-W on the reverse. Leigh has pointed out that it is similar to the Governor Generals Foot Guards except the motto is different.

The second badge is I think a makers variation.

I have one of the elongated stars with its east/west blades or flat lugs missing & what lloks like your second star a hollow struck badge with east/west lugs, bronzed, which I filed away decades ago as possibly a CG OSD collar badge, as that's all I could think of it being.
Any chance it could be a Colonial badge?

Coldstream are the obvious suspects I suppose.
I never bothered to properly check either badge.
See how these match up to the ones posted.
