Alli, 'Semper Paratus' is also the motto of the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry of Canada, the Essex and Kent Scottish, and the Brockville Rifles, except as yet I can't find a badge that looks like yours and fits any of these regiments. Maybe BillA knows.

Nicely done, Phil. This badge has cropped up a number of times. Nice to have a positive ID at last.

Cheers, Jelly, I will try to find solid evidence to back the ID.

Definately NOT Bechuanaland Protectorate police collars. I have BPP collars and they are same as the cap badge but 1/2 size. There is someone trying to sell a pair of these on an SA auction site as BPP collars along with a genuine BPP cap badge, so that may be where the confusion comes in.

I am still of the opinion that they are fashion items.
