Default Royal Engineers WW1 collars

I'm putting a set of insignia together for a WW1 RE Signal Service despatch rider.

Are these the correct (33mm x 20mm) collars to go with it?

Regards Rob.

I will bump this one up as its been a while.

I realise there are probably many possible combinations of what was worn at any period by different units and even individuals but I'm hoping this set is not "wrong".

All comments welcome.

Your collar badges were introduced in 1922, the universal grenade badge was worn at the time. See here: http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...181#post366181

Thank you Thomas

So it is wrong, and it just took me six years to find out.

Did O/Rs even wear collar badges during WWI? I thought it was only officers?
Cheers,
Alex

You are correct Alex as a general rule mostly they didn't wear them on their collars during the First War but they were still in a period of official use and as a collector I'm not going to ignore them.

As a military motorcycle enthusiast I think its a pleasing set.
