Default SAS Badge - Opinions Please

This was acquired at a military show recently after much hesitation on my part. I guess you could say I was made an offer I couldn't refuse. I did pass on 2 SS Commando badges which didn't look right to me, stamped, with lugs? One, maybe, but not 2 in this part of the US. The SAS badge I decided to take a chance on after the dealer came down in price. It is brass, as near as I can tell. If someone has some wisdom or knowledge to share it will be appreciated.
