I am now pretty sure that I have identified this soldier as William Thomas Tanfield, born Huddersfield 1876, served in South Africa with the 2nd Wilts Squadron Imperial Yeomanry, 1911 Census living in Beverley, East Yorkshire, married in 1914 at Sculcoates, East Yorkshire, served 1914/18 War as a Sergeant with the ASC. Died 1960 age 83, East Riding of Yorkshire.
