Sorry Ian, a fantasy badge i'm afraid. Members of the Military Foot Police wore MFP title as a cap badge before around 1908 and then used the standard Military Police cap badge with Edward VII or George V cypher as appropriate.

It's likely that a faker used an existing fake Royal Dragoons lion die and had a new MFP scroll made for it to fill a gap in the market.

Here are my three examples - all slightly different, of the never worn but heavily faked Military Foot Police cap badge in bimetal with slider.

Also a (hopefully genuine) MFP shoulder title in brass with hexagonal lugs, worn as a cap badge before the issue of the EVIIR badge.
