Default 1st Hussars Cast Badge

Again gang, need some advice about this one. I got this badge about 10 years ago. I really have my doubts about it being original. It is a cast badge, but quite crisp. IMO it is not a good one, but on the other hand, it seems foolhardy to me for someone to repro such an inexpensive and common badge.

These 1st Hussars badges fall into the category as the RMR, 8PLNB Hussars, BCDs and others who's badges appear to be very cheap. Please don't anyone take offense to that remark, it is simply to put this badge in a category we all know and understand.

So back to me original question.... Original, Repro, Reunion badge? Any thoughts or ideas?

Please forgive the image of the reverse of this badge, it is very shiny, and almost impossible to get a good image. I could certainly use the reverse of this badge as a signaling mirror in the sunshine.

It looks like to me that this may just be the typical late 70's early 80's crappy construction badge. The owner just plated it to avoid having to polish it. I think its legit badge.

Thanks lads. I must admit I never thought the badge would have been that new. I assumed with the lugs and overall feeling of the badge, it was a repro. LOL For lack of better description, the badge just feels wrong. BUt with what I have seen in regards to some of the more modern/current badges, the "feel" would be consistent.

Again lads, thanks.
