Morning JB,
I've been engaged with Graham via another forum and I wasn't convinced that these were wartime.
I had a similar wing (have but can't locate currently), which to all intents and purposes had the same traits. But it was a copy. Lit up likeChristmas on the back.
Does anyone else have other good wartime wings like these, with the same paper covering, with provenance?
I'm always up for learning. Every days a school day😉
Regards
Jon

I was going to say Jon, I'm not keen, looks to share some traits with the Paddington bears ones..... :/ Although it has more positives than negatives.

Moths, every cloth collectors mortal enemy! I bought some moth repelling boxes from home bargains recently, seem to be working ok.... so far.

The better lighting makes it look better, the colour looks less artificially aged, and the black thread seems thinner than the Pakistani copies I've seen. Be interested to hear from others though.

Jerry,

I now see that post was from 8 years ago in 2009, there was still a steep learning curve for me until now.

Amazing how much I learned from the forum all these years! Enjoy the hobby.

Cheers
JB

I would think we have all made mistakes and the knowledge I have gained in my years on this forum is priceless.
