Default Officers helmet plate 5th (Irish ) Volunteer battalion, Kings Liverpool Regiment

This is a badge I am very pleased to have just acquired, it is only the second genuine example I have ever seen.

As a matter of interest the second photo is of a "replica " of the plate I was given years ago which unfortunatley shows what can be achieved with some skill and effort.

I wonder if the genuine helmet plate might be one of those being worn in the third photo but of course I will never know.

P.B.

Peter,
Well done and an excellent item. Given that these plates were presumably not produced in quantity there must be a reasonable chance that yours was "in the photo".

It is great when you see a fabulous item like this and seeing that it is already sold, you think I hope it went to a collector who will really appreciate it.

A great ending or perhaps beginning of the story of the HP thanks Peter and well done.

Cheers Dean
