Unknown Victorian badge
Hi
Any ideas what this may be. It may not even be Militaria? It has a needle pin and the centre is attached separately. |

Could you show the back as well, try and get it the right way up too if possible.

There is a recent thread on this type of badge, but god knows how you would find it.
They are sweetheart badges and all have in common the distinctive round wreath with a variety of Regimental badges/motives in the middle. regards

Many thanks. I will try to post the back the right way up but my phone is a little prohibitive and has a mind of its own. What is the most likely date for this badge? Many thanks

Many thanks Andy. Yes, I was thinking late Victorian c1890s to Boer War. It's a nice quality badge with good detail.

Yours is very nice. Good badge. Someone suggested that mine was Victorian provost guard?

There was no such thing as far as I am aware. Far more likely to be the The Queen's Own, Royal West Kent Regiment, whose collar was the Royal Crest. regards

Many thanks Simon that's brilliant info. I could not find info on Victorian provost guard so did wander about that.
