Ron,

Lovely photo.
He is probably J.P.C. Done, winner of the Spencer Cup at Bisley in 1908.

regards

Ron,

Do you have the glengarry badge and the identical Baldrick badge?
I would assume the first has loops and the latter, screw posts?

regards

Yes I have the glengarry badge on loops, the baldric above also has loops. I do not have one with screw posts.

Ron,
So how does one differentiate between the baldric and sporran badges?

With great difficulty, there are a variety of fixings from standard loops; loops fixed horizontally; screw posts central or double; single tangs even nails for wooden cantles. It also dosen't help that collar badges are often used on sporrans, I even have a picture with a sweetheart being used.
Here are some more items, I dont know if the pipers buttons were wm
I have never seen them?
As an aside I came across a couple of Maltese paper crests recently will try and look them out.
