Default Patriotic car mascot

Hello everybody,
this car mascot from my collection represents a number of patriotic symbols from WW1. This is my interpretation of them - The mk 6 bullets represent the Australian States plus the Northern Territory in the form of the rising sun. The Australian coat of arms, along with the boomerang and a military shoulder badge all signify the national pride in the newly formed federation of Australia and its support of the Mother Country. The motto "Australia will be there" was the title of a popular ww1 patriotic song.

The mascot looks great, thanks for showing it. Is the base an old light switch case? Who said recycling is a modern concept!

Cheers, Dave

Thanks for your interest Guys. I have a feeling that these mascots were perhaps semi commercially made as I have seen another two identical ones in the past. Dave, I agree with you as to the base being made from an old style recycled light switch case.

Since my last post I have found another similar mascot. This one has not been plated and features a rising sun lapel or cap badge. The base seems to be from a contemporary light fitting as was the first one I posted. Enjoy.
