Default Victorian general service? Original?

Good afternoon.

Can anybody comment on this badge please. Is it original? What's happened to the back? Is this off a pouch of some kind?

Many thanks

Martyn

It looks like a device once attached to a rectangular waist belt clasp of the Royal Artillery.

The original square posts at the rear look to have been replaced with loops. The orb is missing off the crown also.

Some repair work to the rear.

regards

Default Thanks yet again

Brilliant. Thank you. The detail is very good on this badge but I have never been able to track it down so thanks for the information. You are the first of about ten people who I have asked who actually managed to identity the badge so thank you again for your expert opinion.

I reckon he needs to get "Andy" from Claire's Collectables to check this out.
