Default Unknown handmade commando patch

Hi gents ive brought this patch off a good friend of mine .by the looks of it its a hand sewn dagger badge .

Its seems to be upside down . Just wanted to see if anyone else had seen something like this or has anymore info on it .

Perhaps the person who embroidered it misunderstood the instructions given? This is one of the few examples of a badge depicting the FS Fighting Knife, point down. South African, I believe. Mike

This is possibly the worst rendition of an F-S knife I have seen.

So perhaps not an F-S (or indeed Commando related) but a sword (?) and something completely different?

Just a thought!

The London AA Companies of the ATS wore a sword similar though Im sure it's red on Khaki unless one of them wore this type ???
