Canadian made RFC cap badge
I don't usually collect RAF or RCAF but this cap badge caught my eye.
Nicely marked Roden Bros Toronto 1917. The bottom seems to read RFC 1917, never seen that before. Mike |

Hi Mike
Nice example of a Canadian made cap badge. Your post made me check out my own Roden badge. I note that my copy has stamped the Makers Mark in a different position. In looking at a magnification, could it be that it reads "REG" vs. "RFC"? Somebody will know. |

It says REG

In digging deeper, I found a collar where it is definitely a "G" in the REG for Registered, as Phil says.

Coming at this from a different angle, does anyone have an RFC Roden Bros badge dated differently?

Very nice, not an easy thing to come across these days, whilst your photograph does rather look like RFC, it is not, the dies were marked REG 1917, as has already been pointed out, a nice find.
