Default Stitching in battledress

Anyone fancy interpreting this for me? Hand stitched in the belt of a British 1944 battledress blouse, badged to the parachute regiment and with a dark green lanyard (1st or 7th Bn). The digit to left could be a 7 but the others? "OO"? What might that mean? I'm stumped.
