Default RAF sidecap

Wondered if this is a specific version of an RAF sidecap or a put together
Appears to be Officer quality material with eagle (but no crown) and gold piping
The eagle is on blades and the backing plate has the addition for the crown but appears never to have used.
Maker appears to be BEEWYSE. 6 1/2 so quite small
Regards
Gary

It may be just the photo, but it looks like the wrong shade of blue to be RAF.

When compared to this example , shape doesn't look right!
Tony.

You have a good point there, Tony, and yours looks like the right colour.

Thanks for the replies chaps ... I will try and photograph it next to a pucker RAF one .

One thing the photos don't show are the two KC RAF buttons on the front that are attached inside the cap by means of a split pin and not stitched

Cheers

Gary
