Caps. royals
I knew these as Caps, royals as worn by regiments or corps with Royal titles such as the RF , RA and REME. They were originally worn with No 1 dress (blues) but later replaced the Khaki cap worn with No 2 dress when it was first introduced.

It is a British army hat, probably dating from the 1970s or 1980s. The pattern is "Royal" and would have been worn by soldiers of any of the following regiments and corps:-
RA REME Royal Anglian QLR Kings Kings Own Border Queens There may have been others. The chinstrap is not the correct pattern and has been added, as has the "continental" cap badge PL |

P.S. My old corps, the RAOC also wore the Cap Royal before amagamation into the RLC which does not Last edited by Mike_2817; 18-08-12 at 10:46 AM. |

The second cap with the two brass rings is, I think, a Lance Sergeant. No doubt Andy, or grenadierguardsman will correct me if I'm wrong.
