UNKNOWN Veteran's Medal

Good Day all. I recently picked up this silver medal and I am leaning towards a fraternal groups medal. The issue I have is dating it!!! There are 2 hallmarks on the back the first one says STERLING and the second on indicates sterling and assayed in Birmingham, it's the date letter "E", I cannot for the life of me find that date code, I have a copy of English Silver Hallmarks edited by Judith Banister and I have found the same info as the book on line. I figured it might have dated from Crimean War to WWI. Any help in figuring this one out would be most appreciated.
