Default Unknown British badge

Hello,
Hoping someone could help me identify this badge, it was within a box of my friends Grandfathers medals, he was in the RAF during WW2 and his son my friends father was in the Navy mid or late 60s, there is also the chance it may not be linked to the medals, greatful for any help or pointers.

Thanks
Guiness

It looks very much like a "fashion" item.

My first thought was, post 52' Queens Crown and for a guess a civilian association?

I agree that it's a fashion item, deliberately made 'close to' real badges but not so close as to enrage the authorities.

Many Thanks,
Could it merchant navy?, I have asked a few ex military friends but no new clues or suggestions for whatever association it could belong to.

Definitely a fashion item, no military connection.
