Default Easy Surrey Badge
Gentlemen
I would like to share this very nice badge which must have been blackened at some point, the slider has black paint on it.

Chay,
something does not feel right about this badge. The blackened badge was worn by the 6th bn and was either blackened brass or blackened silver with high points polished for officers according to K&K. The bi-metal badge was not painted for the regulars. Is the slider the one originally fitted or is this a replacement period slider that happened to come from a painted badge? Another possibility is the slider is not painted but just has a build up of grime!

It’s from my time capsule tin and appears to be paint and not repaired !
