Early Staffords cloth Beret badge
I believe this to be a NI 1970's period. Staffords Beret badge.

Is it more likely to be a helmet cover flash- say, from the Gulf 1990-1991?

Just recieved the following information from the regiment
This particular badge was issued by the QM Major Douglas Forrester Colin MBE without permission of the Army and it was withdrawn and the majority of them were burnt. some spares made it to the museum. They were used on the Londonderry Tour of NI 1979-81. made my day Stephen |
