Canadian Buttons
Here are a couple of scans of a few Irish Regiment of Canada Buttons. The first scan is of a partial set of Modern Staybrights. Man I really hate those ones.
The second scan is of a pair of Brass WWII buttons. One has been cleaned, the other left the way I received it. Somewherer I have some Officers Mess Dress Buttons in Brass with silver overlays. Also there are some brassy staybrights in Queen's Crown.

Thanks Ray, that particular button I used Brasso, and a whole lot of sweat. I received a total of 30 buttons in that condition. I used Brasso on a few, never dull on few others, and toothpaste on others. It was a sort of experiment on my part to compare the final results. After I finished cleaning them, I used a silver mitt on each one after throughly washing off any residue.
I found that the amount of work involved to clean each one was about the same. The results afterward were about the same as well. The only difference I noticed was after a few months, the one I used never dull on was by far the darkest and most discolored.
