Default Parachute Regiment QC

Gentlemen,
Whilst the kings crown badges to the Parachute Regt are often discussed on here and the very many fakes are weeded out, the queen crown badges never seem to come up.
There are so many differant badges because of the long period of wear that continues to this day.
Do any of you have any interesting examples, in particular those early metal and annodised examples?
Regards to you all,
Frank

Frank,
to be honest there should not be that many! On the change of crowns Officers would have continued to wear Silver/SP badges but OR's would have probably only been issued with Wm badges for a very short period as the issued items would have become anodised around about the same time! The majority of Wm QC badges in circulation are probably private purchase and not issued!

Hello Andy,
I would have thought that there would not be many early white metal examples, a good few differing anodised issued to the rank and file down the years, in addition, a number of others that have never been an issue badge.
Regards Frank

First of all let me say that I know very little about these para badges. Here is one plastic which I bought back in 1968. I believe it has the same flaw like some from WW2 although this is plastic.

Hello,
Okay, its not just me then, its not plastic by the way, its anodised alloy, I must admit that I don't have this badge in my collection, I'd always been put off by the "metal" badges, with this mark on their sliders, that are out and out fakes, but, I have seen anodised examples turn up I had believed them to be of the period in question and correct.
Have you got any more?
Kind regards Frank Kelley
