Default Corps formation patches

I finally found authority for the Cdn Chaplain Service to wear a Purple diamond shaped patch with "CCS" as well as a Cherry diamond patch worn by RCAMC. These patches pre-date the 2nd Cdn Corps and were worn in accordance with very badly written instructions. Few of these patches are encountered as they were later replaced with I Cdn Corps red patches or II Cdn Corps blue patches.
Both of these are shown in the 2nd edition of my book "Distinguishing Patches", in the colour pages.

Default RCA Diamond

Often thought to be an early 1st Corps patch,I am no longer so sure,,,given the other colour coded Corps diamonds you've discussed above...Anything concrete on this misunderstood little badge....and it is quite small....

Well the Forestry corps (or was it the Dentists) wore a green diamond, So there are still a lot of things to be learned.

Clive, You mean the other way around for the corps colours?
What is the authority for the CCS and RCAMC patches?
