Default JR GAUNT B'HAM + LONDON

Assume these are all 1970's restrikes and can put them in the appropriate junk box. Were any badges made by Gaunt with these marks that are genuine?

although faked the London ones in large font were in use in the 1950s-60s.

Bham was 1970s.

If the RAPC ones are London then they are genuine.

I think if you want representative examples of 'pre' anodised circa 1950's/1960's metal badges in your collection (especially QC), it would be very difficult not to include badges with the large font LONDON Gaunt mark.

I've read here that some members avoid this genre specifically beacuse the lines of what is genuine and what has then been specifically produced for the collector market can be blurred.

Without you showing photos of the reverse, I would hazard a guess that these badges in your photo may all have LONDON marks:

Herefordshire Light Infantry - I've had a few and all have had the LONDON mark
East Lancashire
Shropshire Yeomanry
Royal Fusiliers
Maybe one or two of the RAPC

How did I do? Close?
Mark

Oh well - looks like I was wrong then. I've not yet personally come across a Herefordshire LI from the correct Gaunt die with the B'HAM mark. Not that I want to.....
