Column or battalion flash?

I'm curious to see whether members think the '55' flash pictured here:

should be more properly regarded as the pagri flash of the 2nd Bn Border Regt rather than a 55 Column flash (and therefore of the 4th Border)? I don't know anything about column flashes, but I have seen photos of that type of flash worn by the 2nd Border in India in the days leading up to WW2.
