Default Button ID please

Hi Folks,
Could someone have a stab at this one please, I'm pretty sure it's military and I know Radnorshire had a Rifle Volunteer Corps and I think Presteign did too but I don't really know what the button represents.
Cheers.

Kev.

Illustration 261 in "Rifle Volunteer Buttons 1859-1908" the MHS special number by Ripley and Darmanin.

The description says- 261-"1st Corps, Radnorshire Rifle Volunteers, white metal "

Kev

1st Radnorshire Rifle Vols were raised in 1860 and became lst Administrative Bn Radnorshire RV's in 1864.

I would guess your button was worn 1860-1864 but it's possible it continued to be worn until 1880 when Radnorshire RV's became part of Herefordshire RV's.
