Default London Irish

Thoughts on this one would be appreciated, it's heavy, cast brass? Chromed.
Is it a copy or are there genuine ones made like this?
Thanks Tony.

Question London Irish?

I think it's a Royal irish or Royal Ulster Constabulary badge, the harp is different to the London Irish.
Only an opinion and I will leave it to the London collectors to decide.

It is not Royal Irish Rangers or Regiment as they were not around in the King's Crown era. I do not believe that it is RUC either although similar pattern to some of their badges.

It certainly, at first sight, appears to be a LIR W/O WW2 badge.

I have seen it offered for sale with slider also, I don't know enough about them or any obvious attempts to copy them to offer any comment on its genuineness.

John , I have a couple of Queens Crown versions of this badge in anodised aluminium, both have sliders. Also a modern metal example which is lugged.
Cheers Tony.
