Mark Radford's "Service before Self" says the following about this badge, "In mess dress, officers and warrant officers wore a small silver lion, tusk and scroll headdress badge which was also made with a Tudor Crown or St. Edward's Crown attached between the lion's left ear and tip of the tail. This badge was mounted on a scarlet silk corded boss." So I would presume worn across all battalions.
Hope this helps - If you need any Rhodesia Regiment buttons let me know Wayne |

Officers beret badge and cord boss. 4RR wore blue and white hackles. Other Bns didn't. Officers also wore the white metal maltese cross on the hat often erroneously referred to as a 6 RR badge. In the late 1970s a small white metal maltese cross was also worn on the beret.
