WWI PPCLI Officers badge..?
Would like some opinions on this badge and some kind of valuation if possible..
is maker marked JRGaunt on reverse and Made in England... |

Definitely an officer's pattern badge. But, this pattern was worn well into the post war period, until the VP pattern was adopted circa 1933. The badge is quite desireable.

THIS BADGE IS NOT CEF as there where no officer badge made or worn for the cef period it was a point of pride that all ranks worn the same hat badges. The badge shown is 1934 made and the last before the cypher version was adopted same year.
