I have a note taken from an IWM photograph of that inverted triangle blue/buff flash being worn by a Guard of Honour found by an unidentified battalion (possibly 2 Buffs, ex 132 Inf Bde, 44 (HC) Inf Div?) of Buffs for the ceremony of the presentation of the Stalingrad Sword to the Soviet Union during the Teheran Conference in Nov 43. It was also evidence that their "shoulder title" was fabricated from a cut down black/khaki slip-on title stitched to the top of the BD sleeve. Mike

If worn on both sleeves this one would be the left sleeve and still 9th Med RA (TA).
