Default Help needed

Hi everyone,
I’m in need of a little help. When my granddad passed away he left me nearly 300 cap badges! I have not got the faintest idea about cap badges. Would anyone be able to direct me to someone in the South Wales area that could look at them for me to tell me if they are worth anything (for insurance). At present the are sat in a back pack under my bed!!!
What do people do with cap badges? Frame them? Store them?

Hi Littlelostlily, welcome to the Forum. Your account is active and open for posts.
Lots of thoughts about what to do with an accumulation of badges. Members will give you some ideas.

Hello Littlelostlily, welcome to the forum!
Sorry to hear of your grandfathers passing.
Wow, 300 badges - that sounds like a great collection.
My advice is to first try and sort the badges into basic groups according to how they look, or what they have written on them. Some badges have the name of the Regiment on them, and most have the Regimental motto.
Use these mottos etc to google search them, matching what you find will really help you sort out and identify what you have.

If you can, get some thick cardboard to mount the badges on, keep us updated with your progress!

Kind regards,
Sean
