Default PWF and 96 Lake Superior Battalion - what do I have?

I inherited a number if military badges over the years and don't know what I have. The images are, I believe, are pre-WWI. I'm asking for help on a timeline for these badges, as this will help me figure out which ancestor they belonged to. The connection is through Ontario / Manitoba.

The 96th Lake Superior Regiment is obvious, but I have not been able to find this insignia online anywhere.

The PWF I expect is Prince of Wales Fusiliers, but the fancy pin is aslo eluding me. I think the other is a PWF shoulder badge.

PLease help/correct/educate me. Thanks in adbance.

The badges you have imaged are the 96th Lake Superior Regiment from Thunder Bay area (Fort William, Port Arthur). That pattern badge and collars was authorized in 1910.
The grenade and cypher badge are to the 1st Regiment, Prince of Wales Fusiliers who became the Canadian Grenadier Guards. The grenade is a collar, and the cypher is listed as a collar but may have been for some other purpose. They are pre-1914.
