Hi Jo
There is an Capt Alexander Reid Granger, a Paymaster with No 2 Tunneling Coy, who was MiD. http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discove...dNumber=424472 http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discove...0-1969&p_ID=45 Haven't found him with an MBE yet though. The ribbon on his breast does not look like either type of MBE (Mil). regards Darrell

Quote:
It looks like this officer might be Captain Albert Raymond Auger of the 4th Overseas Pioneer Battalion (among others) who was awarded a British Empire Medal http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discove...dNumber=38659& or something else. His file is somewhat confusing on the exact nature of this award - you can check for yourself. His file is located here: http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discove...IdNumber=17292 Thanks to Tighe McManus of the Canadian Expeditionary Force Study Group.
