An article from the Eighth Army News of 27 Oct 44 on the award of a distinctive sign (Yellow 8 on blue/white diamond) to the South African Army Signals in Italy. Not new information, but definitive and contemporary.

That's two more flashes than my father brought home from the War. But he did have one Maj Peniakoff as a patient (new dental plate required) just after VE Day near Venice I believe. Mike
