Default Father & son,Gallipoli,1915...

HU 53364
Infantrymen and lighthorsemen in a trench on the Gallipoli Peninsula. The lighthorseman on the left at the back who is smoking a pipe is 211 Trooper Andrew Powell Yeates, 9th Light Horse, aged 54, father to the soldier in the foreground, his son 1103 Private James August Yeates, 3rd Australian General Hospital (AGH). Both men enlisted in 1914. Previously thought to be Ernest Sidney Cavalier (No 581, 22nd Battalion, 6th Brigade) and Ronald Ernest Cavalier (No 854, 4th Battery, 1st Division).
