Default 34 CUMBERLAND REGT BADGE

Got a large British Victorian Regiment badge collection in and need help as this is not my area of collecting .This is the first ....34 Cumberland Regt. Can anyone say if its a original ?

Hi Actinoke,
Unfortunately I think yours is one of the many restrikes of these type of badges, the detail is not as crisp on the originals and the lugs are not what I personally would look for, there is also the typical what looks like scorching around the lug area.
I have shown the rear of mine with brass lugs which I think most will agree is a good sign for the period of these badges

Interestingly, I have been going through a post 1903 Gaunt catalogue which surprisingly offers Old and Curious badges and buttons including some Regt of Foot Glengarry badges 'To the Trade Only with the wholesale price list still attached to the catalogue.
I know a lot of the copy/fake Glengarry badges are attributed to Fox but it seems Gaunt were also willing to do restrikes from their own dies in the early 1900's
