War Service Australia
Under what circumstances was the silver and enamalled 'War Service Australia' pin-backed badge issued during the Great War era?

The only illustration of this badge that i know of is on an Aust War Memorial site where you have probably got the illustration from. I have no knowledge of this badge other than the info on this site. I have never seen the badge. Regards Phil. |

From the AWM:
"The War Service for Australia badge was issued from circa 1916 to civilian members of staff working at AIF Headquarters in Horseferry Road, London. The recipients were usually female and local residents of London."
