over $1000aust for a 1950-60s example and a poor one at that.

how do i know its not ww1? i dont think ww1 slouch hats had a vinyl trim around the brim

Here is an example of an Australian WW1 hat also the lion clip is not WW1?

Sure first is 1917 and second lot of photo's 1916 notice different pugs and color of hats

The hat depicted on Ebay is definitely not New Zealand manufactured, as it has metal air vents which is something that pre 1953 NZ made military felt hats did not have.
