Default Australian Return Service League enamel badge

Chaps,

I recently bought some British badges as there was one I particularly wanted. This came with it. It is numbered on the back.

Has it any value? Is the '70' a year or an anniversary or something else?

I think 70 could be the year of issue.

RSL badges aren't particularly rare or worth that much (maybe except for some early 1920s ones).

Thanks. I didn't think it was that special with the '70' on. If any Australian collector is interested in it then please PM me.

The large two figure badge with the crowns 1919-1920 are not seen often. That was before the airman was added.
I have had a number of the RSL members badges that come with interchangable crowns or year bars. You paid your fees and then changed the year bar.

This one does seem to have an attached crown.
