Default information please

Bought this Black Watch badge some time ago i think its a sergeants badge first battalion, and here's the thing no one i have asked have seen a kings crown 42 no scrolls post 1937, the badge has an Anderson military outfitters Edinburgh to the back please see pictures, has anyone seen such a badge or one similar any info much appreciated. scots grey

I have a Scots Guards SNCO's badge with the same plaque on the back, but I'm afraid I don't have any more information.

Thanks Alex the plate to the back was a famous military outfitters now defunct Andersons of Edinburgh i would imagine the badge is 100/% original its just i have never seen or heard of a Sergeants 42 badge post 1937. Cheers Sg
