Default WM VOLUNTEERS Royal ARTILLERY

Can anyone help me?
When did the WM Volunteers cap badge cease to be used and do genuine badges come with a slider?
Thanks Tony.

I dont trust any WM RGA(Vols) cap badges with a slider.

Every one I have ever had, have had 2 loops or blades and never a slider.

regards

There are certainly pre 1908 infy Vol Bn badges with sliders.
I also have a photograph (away from home at the mo) of my gt grfather wearing what must be a silver badge when he was a Lt in the Monmouthshire RA vols.

All regiments are different but I believe RGA Vols didn't have sliders.
I have had a few silver officers rga Vols cap badges on blades.

The same with slider -- with apologies for the quality of the scans, but you get the gist.
