Default Army Cyclist Corps

Hello All.

I have a badge I would appreciate some opinions on. From my very novice eyes, this looks OK, seems well struck, but always nice to get the expert opinions here.

What does concern me is the slight flaw/excess brass on the spoke below the crown....

Cheers, Tim

Tim,
Do you mean the inflation valve?

Tim,

Interestingly, ACC examples made by F E Woodward, have virtually no valve. There is a tiny, vestigial piece of metal just visible, but definitely nothing in the same league as your example.

Yeh, Noxin, my one is very evident.

I suppose it's a makers variant, and the rest of the badge seems OK. I noted from a search of the forum I just did, Andy has (or had) a badge with bent spokes that also had a quite pronounced valve.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Cheers, Tim
